Horst-Michael Prasser

Horst-Michael Prasser is Professor emeritus of Nuclear Energy Systems at ETH-Zurich and was Head of the external page Thermal Hydraulics Laboratory at external page Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI). He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Power Engineering and obtained his PhD in 1984 in Zittau. During the German reunification, he took part in the foundation of the Res. Center Dresden (Rossendorf), where he later headed the group "Experimental Thermal Fluid Dynamics." He worked on multiphase flow instrumentation and the closure relations necessary for C(M)FD codes, as well as on nuclear reactor safety studies.
